Dr Cornwell Visits DFW Ladies

Gigi and Blaqkofi did a fabulous job of putting this event together. Big shout out to ya!
After the visit With Dr. Cornwell and connecting with her Sisterlock vision I am even more interested in taking the Consultants class.
I may be doing it sooner than later.....
If anyone has taken the class and would like to offer your experience please do. I invite pro's and con's.

What a blessing.......to my surprise Blaq brought along her sister (pictured below right) who I connected with the first time I met her. What a powerhouse soldier she is!!! I just love and adore her spirit. Don't let this be your last visit girlfriend. Blaq, thanks for sharing!!!
"T" in return fell for my baby Praline and found words of praise as Praline dedicated the appropriate Sam Cooke song"A Change is Gonna Come" to Dr. Cornwell.

And below (right), my fabulous hair twin Jen/ ! She is another DFW'er that has the spirit of a lamb and totally gifted in making anyone feel right a home and welcomed.

Thanks ladies, you've done it once again!

Locks on the Slopes!

We had a blast getting away from the flat lands of Texas! The mountains were so majestic and each time we visit mountain areas I fall deeper in love with Jesus for creating such wonderful views of his earth!
I love my Casio Exilim 7.2 because it produced fabulous pictures. This pic is one of my favorite mountain shots of the slopes from the ride on the ski lift!

Praline, Roux and Beignet are always in competition to see who can get down the mountain the fastest and I'm always left behind enjoying the beautiful scenery of the snow and trees. Conversating with other skiers as I slowly and carefully make it down without injury!! Roux always seems to beat Beignet while Praline keeps my anxiety up as she makes it down at what appears to be 80+ mph.

I actually overcame one of my fears this year by taking on a 3 1/2 mile downhill Green! Just so you'll know.... this Green is actually a Blue at other ski resorts. We had the awesome experience of skiing at two resorts this year with one being more difficult than the other.
Sadly, while we were at one of the resorts a 18 year old male, who was with his church group was killed while skiing. He ran into a tree and was killed on impact.

On a happier note, all is well with us and we are home safely....back to reality! Oh, and BTW Praline and I could not resist asking this snowboarder about his 16 year old locks. He gladly accepted our invitation to take a pic as the only lockers and AA's on the slopes! :) Click on the pic to get a closer look!

I'm Back - Anyone Ever Experience This???

Last week, while on Spring Break I found several locks like this one. It looks like part bunching (3 lock pattern) on the ends from my original locking session and R4 (reverse 4) at the front of the lock after changing my pattern as recommended by my Consultant. R4 is working out well do to the tighter pattern on my hair type.....however......
The middle of the locks are very weak and I just decided to ......whack them off! Five locks in all! They were very annoying and I could not stand the way they looked just hanging on for dear life.
Could it be something else?? Just curious to know if anyone else has expereinced this issue? If so, what did you do?
I also wondered if it could be from over manipulation of braiding, twisting and curling. Hummmmm....

Meet Magnolia

Here's my closest friend "Magnolia," we met as college freshmen and we've been friends now for 25 years! Magnolia is also from Louisiana with French Creole heritage and boy can this sista cook!! She will make you "Slap Ya Mama."

She's a true clean freak but that's a whole "nother" post, Magnolia has been natural for 3 years now and is not ready for a lock journey. I just wanted you all to meet my wonderful buddy who has embraced her nappurality!
